The Odell Beckham Jr. Saga has come to an end. The former LSU Tiger just signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Odell Beckham Jr. has finally agreed to a contract after missing all of last season recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in Super Bowl 56. The former LSU Tigers star agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to 18 million dollars with the Baltimore Ravens Sunday evening.

With most of the major free agents off the board, Beckham was among the best skill-position players left on the market. With rumors swirling all offseason about where Beckham would land, he finally found a home in Baltimore.

On April 3rd, Adam Schefter went on NFL Live and reported the Ravens had sent Beckham an offer. However, Shefter cautioned fans not to count out the New York Jets or a potential return to the Los Angeles Rams. Ultimately, Baltimore’s bid of 18 million forced the Jets and Rams to back out.

The Ravens had arguably the worst wide receiver room in the league in 2022, with Demarcus Robinson leading their corps. Robinson totaled 48 catches for 458 yards and two touchdowns. Adding Beckham will instantly improve their receiving room, assuming he can remain healthy.

It is surprising to see a 30-year-old coming off an ACL tear get a deal of this magnitude after missing all of 2022. He will earn 15 million guaranteed with up to three million in incentives. According to Over the Cap, this deal ties him with Courtland Sutton as the 21st highest-paid receiver in the league.

Beckham will return to the field for the first time since Super Bowl 56. The former LSU Tiger will attempt to revive his career in Baltimore with Lamar Jackson. The 30-year-old has not had a 1,000-yard season since 2019 and hasn’t recorded double-digit touchdowns since 2016.
