LSU Tigers Spring Game Details

Date: Saturday, April 22nd, 2023

Time: 1 p.m. CST

Location: Tiger Stadium

TV Channel: SEC Network

Unlike last year, Head Coach Brian Kelly has hinted at a non-traditional Spring Game for the 2023 season. Such is due to some injuries the team is facing at this point of the year, particularly on the offensive line and in the back field.

Kelly mentions fans could see a short Spring Game that also includes some 7 on 7 and individual drills. This would be different then Tiger fans are used to, but with the limited numbers, Kelly wanted to find a way for fans to get involved.

The Spring Game is always a huge recruiting weekend. It gives the recruits a chance to come and get a feel for the stadium and what a home game will look like. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet which recruits will be attending this years Spring Game. Last year we saw recruits such as Shelton Sampson Jr make an appearance for Brian Kelly’s first Spring Game. Keep an eye out for some big name recruits to show out this year.

LSU and Alabama will be the final two SEC schools to host their Spring Games. Most other SEC schools held their Spring Game on or around April 15th. The only other Power 5 schools with a later Spring Game: Maryland, Rutgers and Oregon, all of whom are playing on April 29th.
