LSU football has never beaten these nine FBS teams

LSU football vs. Rutgers football

Last meeting: Nov. 7, 1922
Last score: 25-0
LSU football getting shut out by Cincinnati is one thing, but a scoreless loss to Rutgers is utterly embarrassing.
Unfortunately for the early-20th century LSU Tigers’ fans, their favorite football program wasn’t very good. The 1922 LSU football team finished 3-7, including the November loss to the Rutgers Queensmen.
Long before the Scarlet Knights moniker, Rutgers was known as the ‘Queensmen’ because of the university’s original name, Queen’s College. Another fun fact is that LSU and Rutgers played their only matchup at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan.
Rutgers has not been relevant in college football since Ray Rice. The program that calls Piscataway, New Jersey, ‘home’ remains a Big Ten bottom-dweller. As such, it is unlikely we will see an LSU vs Rutgers rematch soon.
