LSU football has never beaten these nine FBS teams

LSU football vs. Army football
Overall record: 0-1
First meeting: Nov. 7, 1931
Last meeting: Nov. 7, 1931
Last score: 20-0
Army shut out LSU football in their only game against a U.S. military service academy.
The Tigers traveled to West Point in 1931 and, despite having a size advantage, lost to the Army’s cadets via a series of trick plays. Army finished 8-2-1 on the season, including a win over Notre Dame and a tie against Yale.
The 1931 Tigers finished 5-4 in what was head coach Russ Cohen’s last. Ironically, Cohen was replaced by Biff Jones in 1932. Jones served as Army West Point head coach from 1926-29.
LSU football will get their revenge against Army when the Black Knights travel to Baton Rouge on October 21, 2023. We expect the Tigers to win the game, but with the understanding that Army can make it interesting.
Historically, Power 5 schools have had trouble containing Army’s triple-option offense.
