TyrMany LSU football fans struggle during this quiet period of no major college sports. But we have some rewatch suggestions to help fill the void.

Over the last year, LSU football fans were spoiled with outstanding and enduring Tigers’ sports seasons.

The 2022 LSU football season included:

  • A massive win over Alabama in overtime.
  • An SEC West title.
  • A 63-7 route of Purdue in the Citrus Bowl

The LSU women’s college basketball team followed with an incredible season capped by an NCAA Women’s Final Four championship. Moreover, the LSU college baseball team won the Men’s College World Series.

Suffice it to say; that purple and gold have consumed our television time for several months. Unfortunately, we’re in the part of the year where our favorite major college sports are in their off-seasons. Conversely, college football is nearing its return in 2023.

The 2023 College Football Kickoff is September 1st. That date is close but feels so far away. That is 46 days away, to be exact. Moreover, the new LSU football season does not begin until their kickoff against Florida State on September 3rd.

We have eight weeks and two days of wait time remaining. It already feels somewhat excruciating.

This week’s SEC Media Days will help to fill some of the void and provide LSU football preseason talking points. But a few hours of Brian Kelly and his select few LSU players at the podium is insufficient. We need to see some gridiron action.

To feed the LSU football fan’s thirst, we found five games on the Web worth rewatching over the coming weeks.
