LSU football is working hard on the 2024-26 recruiting classes. However, their best recruiter on social is a player that has yet to enroll in Baton Rouge.
Colin Hurley committed to the 2024 LSU football recruiting class back in November. Since then, the four-star quarterback has relentlessly campaigned for fellow recruits to join him in Death Valley.
Hurley masterfully exercises Twitter (or whatever the hell it’s called now) to promote LSU football and encourage 2024 recruits to call Baton Rouge. For example, Hurley was all over the news that Jackson Cryer de-committed from Ole Miss on Sunday afternoon.
Granted, it behooves a quarterback to attract the best teammates possible, especially on the offensive line. Moreover, Cryer, a three-star IOL from Many (La.), would be excellent future protection for Hurley.
Colin Hurley is not obligated to use his platform to recruit for LSU football. But such doesn’t seem to matter to the Jacksonville (Fl.) standout.
Hurley is showing outstanding initiative and a desire for success at a young age. Most 2024 prospects are preparing for their final year in high school, including socializing with friends. However, Hurley is doing all the above and making time to promote his future school and football program.
His efforts are not going unnoticed.
Colin Hurley demonstrates the initiative and leadership that one can assume puts a smile on Brian Kelly’s face. After all, who wouldn’t want a future quarterback exhibiting excitement for the team before national signing day?
Suffice it to say; Hurley was one of the first to post a celebratory tweet after massive offensive tackle Ory Williams committed to LSU on Sunday.
Hurley attended last weekend’s Bayou Splash recruiting event in Baton Rouge. We assume he spent considerable time building rapport with fellow LSU commits and persuading recruits that have yet to make their final decision.
We look forward to following Hurley’s senior season at Trinity Christian Academy and his LSU arrival next Summer.
LSU football fans can also look forward to Hurley’s social media content as he reacts to another big season from the Tigers in 2023.
