The LSU Football team published their 2023 team photo on Monday. Fans immediately noticed that one of the top transfer players was camera shy. Not good.

Denver Harris does not appear in the 2023 LSU Football team photo. That is not a good sign, as the Tigers are less than two weeks away from their Week 1 match-up with Florida State.

All we know now is that Brian Kelly will address the media regarding Harris’s status on Tuesday.

As expected, social media is running wild with rumors and speculation. I hate to join in the storytelling, but it feels like Denver Harris will not be playing football in Death Valley anytime soon.
Harris’s most recent Instagram post is not good.

On3’s Matthew Brune reported that the sophomore cornerback was also missing from practice today.

Harris did not get off to a great start with LSU this fall. He was one of several Tigers caught up in the recent skirmish that ended with punches thrown and players tossed from practice. Moreover, the Bengal Tiger has reported that Harris was practicing with the 3rd team defense throughout fall camp.

As of now, Denver Harris remains listed on the official LSU Football roster. I hope that indicates that the 6’0, 190-pound defender is suspended, not dismissed. Harris is arguably the most physically gifted cornerback in Baton Rouge but is hampered by issues with immaturity and decision-making.

Brian Kelly recently suggested that LSU’s culture will benefit Harris regarding growth and development. The Tigers’ culture is enabled by discipline and standards. Thus, a Harris suspension for violating such is part of an arduous process.

Regardless, I’m standing on pins and needles regarding official news of Harris’s status and standing with the program.

Denver Harris was a 5-star prospect that signed with Texas A&M’s 2022 recruiting class. He played five games for the Aggies before a locker room incident resulted in his indefinite suspension.

Harris entered the transfer portal following the regular season and committed to LSU Football in December..
