SEC Football: Ranking each of the conference’s starting quarterbacks
By John Fye
No. 11 – Carson Beck
Year: Junior
Team: Georgia Bulldogs
2022 Passing Stats: 26 completions, 310 yards, 4 touchdowns
Carson Beck was recently named Georgia’s starting quarterback in the post-Stetson Bennett era. Beck will probably end the season ranked higher than 11th because he plays for a team that made Bennett look like a Heisman candidate. For now, the Jacksonville (Fl.) product ranks in our lower tier because of his lack of experience.
Beck did see limited action during Bulldog blowouts in 2022.
He will be the largest (6-4, 220 lbs.) starting quarterback that Kirby Smart has appointed at Georgia. However, Beck’s ability to make plays when staring down some of college football’s best defenses is site unseen.
Beck’s also an odd-looking dude.
