LSU Football fans have are laced with opinions ahead the Week 1 matchup with Florida State. But what are Seminoles fans thinking ahead of Sunday’s contest?

LSU Football begins the 2023 season with lofty expectations this Sunday night vs. Florida State in Orlando. The Tigers will square off against the Seminoles for the second straight season in Week 1 college football action. As such, LSU can avenge last year’s 24-23 loss by sticking it to FSU at Camping World Stadium in a few days.

We know that Tigers fans are confident in Brian Kelly’s roster and have strong opinions regarding the Florida State game. However, we wondered what Seminoles fans think about LSU, FSU, and the 2023 season.

For some fan insight, we contacted ChopChat.com, FanSided’s home to Florida State Seminoles coverage.

What are are FSU fans’ expectations of the Seminoles this season?

Death Valley Voice: Last year’s Florida State team showed a lot of progress in Mike Norvell’s third season leading the program. The Seminoles won 10 games for the first time since 2016. As such, many media members are predicting Florida State to win the ACC and make the College Football Playoff. Do such expectations align with that of Seminoles fans? What about Norvell’s program is better than a year ago?

Chop Chat: I think those expectations align with what most FSU fans think. FSU lost three games against ranked teams by a combined 18 points last year. They have more talent/production returning than every team on the schedule aside from LSU and Clemson. Most feel even if they lost to Clemson in the first game, they should get a rematch in the ACC Championship game. I think FSU has more higher-end talent courtesy of the transfer portal. The receiving core should be nasty with likely multiple potential NFL guys. The impact transfers that came last year have another year in the offensive/defensive systems, which should be helpful. FSU also has much better depth in the trenches, which likely cost them in those three losses last year.
