LSU Football will kick off Week 2 against the Grambling State Tigers in Baton Rouge. Here’s a rundown of when, where, and how fans can tune in.

The LSU Tigers must shake off the stench of last weekend’s embarrassing loss to the Florida State Seminoles. They’ll have their chance against an in-state HBCU program, the Grambling Tigers. Grambling is also coming off a challenging first game, losing to Hampton 35-31.

We don’t expect LSU Football to struggle much against Grambling, but fans need a big win to restore the optimism we carried from the offseason.

LSU Football will beat Grambling by at least four touchdowns, but not without the Tigers from Northern Louisiana putting up a fight.

Former Raiders and Browns head coach Hue Jackson leads Grambling State. Jackson took charge of the Tigers last season but failed to impress with a 3-8 finish. However, the coach retooled his roster, including the quarterback depth chart.

Myles Crawley, a transfer Junior from Alabama State, will start his second game for Grambling on Saturday. Crawley threw for 311 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Hampton in Week 1. Senior receiver Lyndon Rash has emerged as Crawley’s favorite target and is a player to watch for. Rash caught eight passes for 90 yards and a touchdown last Saturday.

We have a ton of respect for Grambling State and the legacy of Hall of Fame coach Eddie Robinson. However, the other Tigers from Louisiana are our enemies this week. As such, we’re hoping for a lopsided game that half the student section loses interest in early in the 3rd quarter.

Winning big will allow Brian Kelly to get a look at his depth chart in action against another team. We’d like to see three quarterbacks, the 2nd team offensive line and all active running backs get meaningful snaps tomorrow.

What the hell was that, LSU!?. dark. Next

Either way, we’re inside 24 hours from the return of Saturday night in Death Valley.
