ESPN promoted Mel Kiper’s top wide receiver prospects for the 2024 NFL Draft. However, they displayed the wrong player instead of the top-performing LSU Football target.

Malik Nabers enjoyed a career afternoon against Mississippi State last Saturday. The junior torched the Bulldogs secondary to the tune of 13 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns. Nabers wasn’t too shabby against Grambling State, either. He caught five passes for 87 yards and a touchdown during LSU’s Week 2 win.

Nabers is performing like a receiver who deserves recognition among those in the top 10 ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Such was the case on Monday, when ESPN advertised Mel Kiper’s updated top wide receiver prospects for the 2024 list on their major programming. As we expected, Malik Nabers earned his way onto Kiper’s watch list. Or did he?

Instead of displaying Malik Nabers, ESPN erroneously included Hayden Neighbors on the graphic representing Kiper’s list of top WR prospects.

Hayden Neighbors is an Alabama junior walk-on wide receiver who wears jersey no. 48 and has never appeared in a game. I’m sure Neighbors is an outstanding person and hard-working student-athlete, but he’s no Malik Nabers on the football field.

What’s hilarious to LSU fans is likely embarrassing to ESPN producers.

”Hey, Mel added that Nabers kid to his top wide receiver prospects list. Make sure you update the graphic before the show.”

Who would’ve thought that incorrect spelling would produce such entertainment?

Indeed, it’s often the simple things that please us. Nevertheless, we hope ESPN’s graphic blunders bring Hayden Neighbors all the attention he deserves. Meanwhile. we’re remaining focused on Malik Nabers, the LSU Football receiver leading the team at the position.

Nabers has accumulated 24 receptions, 393 yards, and three touchdowns on the season. The Youngsville (La.) product caught 72 passes for over 1k yards a year ago. Indeed, we expect Nabers to continue garnering attention from NFL scouts.

Next. Commencing Arkansas Razorbacks hate week. dark

Nabers was recently named Co-SEC Offensive Player of the Week with Jayden Daniels.
