Jayden Daniels

Position: Quarterback

Class: Senior

Offense Grade: 90.2 (18th of 288 QB)

Pass Grade: 85.6 (29th of 238 QB)

Run Grade: 76.9 (12th of 80 QB)

The LSU Football signal-caller is graded among the nation’s best quarterbacks through four weeks.

Daniels overcame a very sluggish start against Arkansas and played one of his best halves of college football on the way to a 34-31 win. As such, he was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4.

How LSU is winning with Jayden Daniels under center is what we hoped for. Indeed, the Tigers are beating opponents through the air instead of relying on the quarterback to make plays with his legs. Only 35% (85 of 242) of Daniels’ snaps in 2023 have resulted in run plays.

Daniels finished the 2023 season with a 87.8 PFF grade that ranked 35th among 308 qualified quarterbacks.
