The LSU Women’s Basketball team remains the talk of college basketball. As such, the defending national champions will begin their new season in prime time.
LSU Women’s Basketball team captured the nation’s attention with their incredible run through the 2023 Women’s NCAA Tournament. Indeed the reigning national champions are commanding much attention for their new season.
The Tigers will play their first game of the 2023-24 season on national television.
On Tuesday, we learned that TNT will broadcast the first LSU Women’s Basketball game of the season on November 6 in Las Vegas. Kim Mulkey and crew will have a national audience as they take on Colorado as part of the 2023 Hall of Fame Series.
LSU and Colorado will tip-off at 6:30 pm CST
The Tigers’ opening tip in the Hall of Fame Series’ will be proceeded by USC vs. Ohio State, and a men’s basketball game featuring Oregon vs. Georgia. Moreover, a men’s game featuring USC vs. Kansas State will tip-off after LSU and Colorado.
Earlier today, LSU Women’s Basketball star Angel Reese sent a message to Shaquille O’Neal regarding LSU’s opening game on TNT. Suffice it to say it did not take long for Shaq to respond.
We expected Shaq to revel in the idea of his alma mater being featured on the national network that is his longtime employer.
Colorado is an interesting opening matchup for LSU. The Buffaloes were a Sweet 16 team last season that welcomes back their top four scorers. Regardless, the Tigers are the expected favorite with return of Reese and added transfers Hailey Van Lith (Louisville) and Aneesah Morrow (DePaul).
Additionally, Mulkey adds a 6’6 true freshman center in Aalyah Del Rosario.
LSU Women’s Basketball will play their lone game in Vegas before heading back to Baton Rouge for a home opener against Queens University on November 9.
That Tigers will start conference play on January 9 against Missouri in Death Valley.
