The LSU Tigers wrap up their season on Tuesday Afternoon as the Tigers face the Baylor Bears in the Texas Bowl. The Tigers won't have their typical lineup as the roster deals with opt outs for the NFL Draft and the transfer portal. The fresh faces give us an exciting new aspect as we'll get to see a few pieces that could be important in 2025 for the first time. As we get ready to watch the LSU Tigers for the last time this season, here are four bold predictions for the Texas Bowl.

Aaron Anderson grabs the role of Wide Receiver 1 with a monster showing

This offseason, wide receivers have been all the headlines for LSU as the Tigers nabbed Nic Anderson, Barion Brown, and Destyn Hill from the transfer portal. As many project what the 2025 team could look like they're penciling in Nic Anderson as the top receiver but, Aaron Anderson may have something to say about that. In this game, LSU will be without Kyren Lacy, Mason Taylor, and CJ Daniels meaning Anderson is Nussmeier's top target and he's going to play to that level with a massive performance to end the year.

Trey'Dez Green goes over 100 yards receiving

The player with the most to showcase in the Texas Bowl is true freshman tight end Trey'Dez Green as he's the lone scholarship tight end on the roster for the game. While the coaching staff will be closely watching how Green performs as a blocker, we all want to see him in extended playing time showcasing his receiving ability. In this game, Green will be the player we come away feeling the most excited about heading into the offseason as he flashes his ability beating the Bears for 100+ yards.

Javien Toviano grabs an interception in his first game at safety

Last week, the coaching staff announced that they moved Javien Toviano from the star position to safety which is where he'd end up sticking. As a Freshman, Toviano impressed as a cornerback and now the staff hopes his coverage skills paired with his ability as a tackle make him a solid safety. Given that we'll get an extended look at Toviano in this game, he'll make his impact felt coming away with an interception.

The rushing attack looks the best it has all season

All season long one of the biggest issues was this teams inability to run the football consistently to the point where Brian Kelly started to involve himself in the play calling to try and make a difference. While three starters on the offensive line won't play this game the Tigers may have their best rushing performance of the season. The easiest thing to do with younger offensive linemen is to have them run block and the young group up front will surprise many in the rushing attack. Add in that Caden Durham has had a month to recover and the fresh backfield will look explosive.
