All the LSU Football team has one on the recruiting trail is nab recruit after recruit in March. The month of March saw LSU nab the Nation's Top Wide Receiver Tristen Keys, Destrehan Native Jabari Mack who's the top WR in Louisiana, and defensive back Dylan Purter. The month saw LSU fly up the recruiting rankings as the Tigers currently hold the Nation's top ranked recruiting class.
LSU's recruiting class is heavily bolstered by home grown talent as LSU was doing a great job nabbing commitments from the best talent in the State. While LSU had a ton of reasons to be optimistic and the Tigers still do, the race for the Nation's top recruiting class took a massive hit on Monday.
5-Star Safety Blaine Bradford picks Ohio State over LSU
On Monday Morning, 5-Star safety and Baton Rouge native Blaine Bradford shockingly committed to Ohio State over LSU, Texas, and Oregon.

The news came as a surprise as Blaine Bradford had official visits set for this Summer which made it seem as if a commitment would come in the Summertime. Bradford is ranked as On3's 25th ranked player in the class, the 2nd ranked safety in the class, and the 2nd ranked player out of Louisiana.
LSU has done a solid job recruiting safeties in this recruiting class as they currently hold commitments from Edna Karr's Aiden Hall and recent commit Dylan Purter.
Missing out on Blaine Bradford at least in the short term is a massive disappointment in this recruiting class. LSU has struggled mightily at the safety position as of late and missing out on a five-star safety from Baton Rouge wouldn't exactly help the Tigers woes at the position. Aside from being the hometown team, LSU also has Jacob Bradford Blaine's older brother on the roster which makes this even more stunning.
We're a long ways from National Signing Day which gives LSU plenty of time to chip away at his commitment to Ohio State. As LSU fans are well aware of after last recruiting cycle, a commitment is only a commitment until a team makes a move to flip it and LSU will do everything they can to change his mind.
