Paul Skenes - Pittsburgh Pirates
After winning National League Rookie of the Year, Paul Skenes gets to begin the season in the Major Leagues as he'll take the mound on Opening Day for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Last season, Skenes proved he should've been with the Pirates from the start of the season but, he'll now have a full runway to compete for the National League Cy Young.
Alex Bregman - Boston Red Sox
After becoming a franchise icon for the Houston Astros, Alex Bregman heads north to Boston joining the Red Sox. Bregman cashed in this offseason, and he'll now join a young, upcoming core with the Red Sox as they look to compete for the American League East.
Dylan Crews - Washington Nationals
After getting his feet wet in the MLB at the end of the season, Dylan Crews now starts the season with the Nationals and will look to follow in Skenes' footsteps looking to win the National League Rookie of the Year. Getting 119 At Bats last season before facing big league pitching again this Spring should only help Crews as he looks to show the dominance at the plate he had at LSU.
Kevin Gausman - Toronto Blue Jays
After an incredibly reliable season where Kevin Gausman made 31 starts, the veteran starter looks to continue his run while returning back to the lower 3's in ERA. The past few years have seen Gausman become a reliable starter and as long as he continues to make every start, he'll have a job in the league for a long time.
Aaron Nola - Philadelphia Phillies
Aaron Nola is back in action once again for the Phillies as he'll look to return to the dominance he's shown throughout his career. Nola struggled with giving up the long ball in 2024 but, if he can improve on that he'll have a chance to be a top contender for the National League Cy Young.
Josh Smith - Texas Rangers
After becoming a full time starter for the Texas Rangers, Josh Smith will look to build on his Silver Slugger season. The Rangers were riddled with injuries last season but, if the team can return to full health, they'll be a World Series contender once again.
Jake Fraley - Cincinnati Reds
As the Reds are looking to emerge in the National League Central with their young core, Jake Fraley will look to continue to prove he's a solid everyday player for the Reds. Fraley batted .277 last season while getting on base at a .330 clip which will keep him in the lineup until someone emerges.
DJ LeMahieu - New York Yankees
In what could be his final season in the MLB, DJ LeMahieu will start the season sidelined with injuries suffered this Spring. After being one of the best contact hitters in the MLB, LeMahieu's career has taken a shift due to injuries.
