The No. 20 LSU Tigers are locked in a battle with the No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies. It's a must-win game for the Tigers, as a third loss on the season would all but end their hopes at qualifying for the College Football Playoff. Brian Kelly has yet to take LSU to the CFP, and fans are reaching a boiling point.
The play of LSU's offense and Joe Sloan's play-calling has been a topic of much discussion for LSU this season. The offense hasn't been able to consistently move the ball down the field, which has resulted in LSU entering Saturday's game against the Aggies averaging just 20.5 points per game against FBS opponents this season.
As the game approached halftime, ABC cameras caught Kelly going after Sloan following a questionable play call. Harold Perkins Jr had just picked off Marcel Reed, and LSU had a chance to grab serious momentum by scoring a touchdown right before the break. LSU was up 15-14, and touchdown would have been a huge get for the Tigers.
With just 26 seconds to go, LSU didn't have a timeout remaining. The Tigers were facing a 3rd-and-7 at the Texas A&M 13-yard line, and opted for a short out-route to Aaron Anderson, which fell incomplete. It's probably a good thing that it was incomplete, as Anderson was in bounds and well short of the yard to gain. LSU would have had to scramble to get the field goal team on the field with the clock running down. Kelly was not happy with the play call, and he let Sloan know about it. The ABC cameras caught it all.
“What are you doing, Joe? You can’t throw that with no f—ing time outs…”

Both Kelly and Sloan have had their fair share of struggles this season, and it's clear they weren't on the same page in this instance. LSU settled for a 30-yard field goal from Damian Ramos to take an 18-14 lead into halftime. It was nice to get points off the turnover, but a touchdown could have been a game-breaker.
The Tigers need the offense to pull it together in the second half, as they are playing from behind once again after giving up the lead early in the 3rd quarter.
