Coming off of a run rule victory in game one of the weekend set, LSU entered Saturday hoping to beat the weather to get their game against North Alabama in. The top of the first inning put a scare into the LSU Baseball team as Anthony Eyanson allowed a pair to score on a walk and a pair of hits putting LSU in a 2-0 hole to start the game.

From that point on, Anthony Eyanson was lights out carving up North Alabama's offense. Eyanson gave the Tigers 7 innings pitched allowing just two runs on two hits both of which came in the first inning only allowing one walk over his final six innings. Eyanson struck out 15 of the 21 batters he got out as he looked unhittable for most of the game.

The Tigers offense fought back early to get LSU back in this game as Ethan Frey doubled in the top of the first to make it 2-1 North Alabama. The Tigers would draw even in the third as Derek Curiel scored on an error. Curiel would then give LSU its first lead of the game in the fifth inning with a double before Jared Jones drove himself and Curiel home with a two run blast.

Chris Stanfield drove another run in during the bottom of the 8th inning on a bunt which further padded LSU's lead. Zac Cowan was called upon to follow up Anthony Eyanson and was just as impressive in his own right striking out five across two innings pitched to slam the door giving LSU a 6-2 win.

If Anthony Eyanson could find a way to settle into the game Jay Johnson and LSU fans would be much happier. In back-to-back starts, the way Eyanson has been able to fight his way out of trouble has been incredible to see and a massive reason why he's in the rotation.

This wasn't the best showing from LSU's offense as they scored just six runs on nine hits, and four walks but, they got the job done. After holding Jared Jones hitless in game one, North Alabama should've known they were in trouble and Jones bounced back in this game with a 3-4 day with 3 extra base hits and two RBIs. Derek Curiel turned in another two hit game going 2-4 at the plate with an RBI.

LSU Baseball will look to close off the sweep on Sunday Afternoon when they take on South Alabama at 1:00 PM.
