As the Philadelphia Eagles hoisted the Lombardi Trophy, the NFL offseason began for all 32 teams as each franchise looks to build their roster to the point where they can build what the Eagles have built. March brings the first massive event of the NFL Offseason with Free Agency beginning on March 12th.

Among former LSU Football stars set to hit free agency is Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr who was released by the Miami Dolphins prior to the end of the season. During the 2025-26 NFL Season, Beckham will turn 33 years old signaling that his career may be coming to a close. This offseason, if Odell Beckham Jr is going to land anywhere it should be a return to New York.

Odell began his NFL Career with the New York Giants and he quickly went from the elite talent everyone saw at LSU to global superstardom. During his first three seasons in the league, Odell Beckham Jr made three Pro Bowls, won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, and was twice named a Second Team All-Pro.

During his five seasons in New York, Beckham Jr caught 390 passes for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns adding two touchdowns as a passer. The best play of Beckham's Career came under the bright lights of New York.

Given that Odell Beckham was traded to the Browns after the 2018 NFL Season, there was no proper ending to his tenure which is something he could get if he returned to New York. Beckham is still loved by New York Giants fans and his jersey can still be seen all over the stands during broadcasts.

This offseason, the Giants may lose wide receiver Darius Slayton in Free Agency which creates a need for wide receivers especially a veteran presence. The Giants receiver room will be led by Malik Nabers, Jalin Hyatt, and Wan'Dale Robinson all of which are still on their rookie contracts.

The young wide receiver room will need a veteran mentor and who is better to fill that role than the Wide Receiver who reached the highest heights in New York? Malik Nabers is emerging as a Superstar and Beckham can perfectly relate to the pressure and the expectations that come with the role.

The biggest question with the New York Giants currently is at the quarterback position as the Giants parted ways with Daniel Jones. The latest buzz is around Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford as the team is trading Cooper Kupp and may look for a full scale rebuild. Malik Nabers has made it well known that he'd love to play with Stafford.

If Matthew Stafford joins the New York Giants it becomes a no brainer move for Odell Beckham Jr to return. The most success Beckham had outside of New York was while with the Rams winning the Super Bowl and he likely would've been the Super Bowl MVP if not for tearing his ACL.

This offseason will show everyone whether or not Odell Beckham Jr wants to continue his career but, if he does it should be with the team that drafted him.
