The NFL Scouting Combine is set to kick off as the entire NFL world has relocated to Indianapolis for the week. Among the events of the combine are interviews with every Head Coach and General Manager which gives you insight into a Franchises vision and plan while allowing the media a look at first time Head Coaches and General Managers.

Among this off-season's hires is Liam Coen the former offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who has been hired as the Head Coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team has some solid pieces but, for an offensive minded coach in Coen, no piece may be as exciting as Brian Thomas Jr.

This season as a Rookie, Brian Thomas Jr ranked 3rd in yards with 1,282 Receiving Yards while catching 87 passes scoring 10 touchdowns. As Coen looks to rebuild the Jaguars offense, he has made it clear that the passing attack runs through Brian Thomas Jr.

During his Press Availability at the NFL Combine, Coen detailed how he plans to use Brian Thomas Jr and how excited he is to work with him.

"He's so dynamic being able to move him around where when you saw him at LSU maybe not do some of those things where he was mostly outside running more linear routes, vertical posts, some overs, and then a stop. The ability for him to snap down get in the slot be able to run some of the choice routes, lookie routes and then oh by the way you can throw him a screen and he go do something with it. Our pass game will run through him and super excited to get to work with him."

The hiring of Liam Coen may end up being the best thing for Brian Thomas Jr's career and he has to love what his coach is saying the plan is. Coen just led an explosive Buccaneers offense to an NFC South Championship in a season that included Mike Evans going over 1,000 yards yet again. Coen comes from the Sean McVay Coaching tree and if the team can also scheme Thomas into better positions he'll put up incredible numbers.

The biggest thing standing in the way of the Jaguars offense exploding in 2025 is the health of Trevor Lawrence. The team will need to use the draft to protect Trevor Lawrence while adding another weapon to get the most out of the talent already in place.
