Back to Back: LSU Gymnastics wins the SEC Tournament for second straight year

In 2024, the LSU Gymnastics team took home the SEC Tournament Championship before winning the Gymnastics National Championship. In 2025, LSU fans will be hoping for the same pattern as the LSU Tigers have won back to back SEC Championships beating Oklahoma, Florida, and Missouri to take home the second straight SEC Crown.

LSU started the meet off on the uneven bars posting a team score of 49.600 which was the 2nd best of the day behind only the Florida Gators. Aleah Finnegan and Kailin Chio led the Tigers with 9.950's while Haleigh Bryant scored a 9.900 for the Tigers.

The second rotation saw LSU take the beam posting a 49.450 team score which just hardly trailed Oklahoma's 49.475 score for the best of the day. Haleigh Bryant and Aleah Finnegan led the Tigers with 9.925's followed by Konnor McClain who scored a 9.000 while Kailin Chio, Kylie Coen, and Sierra Ballard posted 9.850's.

The third rotation saw LSU take the floor where they posted a team total of 49.625 which was the best by any team. Haleigh Bryant, Amari Drayton, and Kailin Chio all had incredible routines score 9.950's. Aleah Finnegan had a strong performance with a 9.900 which gave LSU a massive boost heading into the final rotation.

The Tigers were on the vault which was great news for the Tigers as they posted the best team score of the day with a 49.525. As the margin in this meet was razor thin, LSU sent Haleigh Bryant out to anchor the team and she delivered a 9.950 which sealed the deal for LSU.

Haleigh Bryant and Aleah Finnegan were incredible for the Tigers with Haleigh Bryant taking home the All Around Title with a 39.725 final score while Aleah Finnegan finished with a 39.675 right behind her.

After winning the National Championship last season, there was a ton of interest in Jay Clark from other schools to fill their head coaching voids. Clark returned to LSU and is now has won back to back SEC Championships and will seek back to back National Championships.
