As the Recruiting Dead Period is in effect, top recruits around the Country are using the time period to reflect on their recruitment and are cutting down their list of schools they're considering while planning official visits. As of late, the LSU Football program has been picking up a ton of momentum on the recruiting trail as Brysten Martinez committed to the Tigers while several other top recruits have included LSU in their finalists groups while scheduling a visit to LSU.
The latest recruit to include LSU among his finalists is offensive lineman Ben Mubenga which is a familiar name for Tigers fans.

Not only does LSU crack the Top Five for Ben Mubenga but, the Tigers will also get Mubenga on campus for an official visit from May 30th through June 1st.

Rivals is currently the only recruiting service to rank Mubenga, ranking him as the 45th best offensive tackle in the Country and the 50th ranked offensive tackle out of Georgia. After signing four offensive linemen that will likely play on the interior offensive line in the 2025 class, landing a pair of true tackles that the team can develop will be a priority in this class.
Ben Mubenga is the brother of LSU Guard Paul Mubenga and is just one of several 2026 recruits with family ties to the LSU Football Program. Darryus McKinley is the brother of LSU Defensive Tackle Dominick McKinley and one of the top recruits in Louisiana. Blaine Bradford is the top safety in the 2026 recruiting class and the brother of LSU incoming Freshman Jacob Bradford.
The Tigers currently hold two commitments on the offensive line from In-State Recruits Brysten Martinez and Jalan Chapman but, the Tigers still have plenty of room in this class to add additional recruits especially at offensive tackle.
