The transfer portal continues to shape the college football landscape, and nowhere is its impact more evident than in the SEC. Each SEC school has seen massive roster changes, with some programs reeling from massive departures while others are celebrating game-changing additions. From quarterbacks with the potential to lead title runs to defensive difference makers ready to unleash havoc for their new teams, the portal has left its mark on every roster.

Here’s a team-by-team breakdown of the biggest transfer addition and loss for each team shaping the SEC heading into the 2025 season.

Alabama Crimson Tide:

Addition - Kelby Collins - Defensive Line - Florida

After losing Dallas Turner and Chris Braswell to the NFL, Alabama's defensive front took a clear step back as the Tide struggled stopping the run. The Crimson Tide go out and land Kelby Collins a defensive lineman that comes with SEC experience. Collins can help on the interior or at edge rusher both of which are positions of need for the Crimson Tide. This season, Alabama had all the talent at the skill positions but, needed significant help in the trenches.

Loss: Caleb Odom - Wide Receiver - Ole Miss

This season, Alabama's offense was a ton of Jalen Milroe running and passing to Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard. That's why we saw four Alabama wide receivers transfer along with running back Justice Haynes. The biggest loss is True Freshman Caleb Odom who transfers a year after being one of the most sought-after tight ends/ wide receivers in the class. The Tide will be fine at wide receiver next season at receiver but, Odom was a versatile piece that would've been a nice piece for the future.

Arkansas Razorbacks:

Addition: Corey Robinson II - Tackle - Georgia Tech

If there's any position Sam Pittman should nail year over year its offensive line where he's had so much success. Pittman used his ability to go out and land Corey Robinson one of the best tackles in the transfer portal. Robinson instantly enters the lineup as the top offensive tackle for Arkansas and will play a massive role in helping Taylen Green develop.

Loss: Luke Hasz - Tight End - Ole Miss

Anytime a top end tight end hits the transfer portal the big schools swarm and that's exactly what happened when Luke Hasz hit the transfer portal. The OIe Miss Rebels landed Hasz and now the Razorbacks have to play him in 2025. This season, Hasz contributed with 26 catches for 324 yards and four touchdowns while impressing as a blocker. In a more effective offense, Hasz is a massive weapon and will replace Caden Prieskorn perfectly at Ole Miss.

Auburn Tigers:

Addition: Jackson Arnold - Quarterback - Oklahoma

All season long, the storyline for the Auburn Tigers was terrible quarterback play as Hugh Freeze looked for any quarterback that could be the answer. Hugh Freeze went out and got a highly touted quarterback in Jackson Arnold to answer those problems as a bridge for incoming Freshman Deuce Knight. Arnold may or may not be a slam dunk transfer because its impossible to evaluate him off of a year where Oklahoma's offensive line had issues and every one of their top receivers was injured. Now Arnold gets a massive upgrade on the offensive line and gets to throw to receivers like Cam Coleman and Eric Singleton Jr.

Loss: Antonio Kite - Safety - Ole Miss

The Tigers haven't lost a ton in the transfer portal but, one loss that will sting is the loss of Antonio Kite. After transferring in from Alabama, Kite is off to Ole Miss where he'll likely start for the Rebels while he could've been an option to replace Jerrin Thompson for Auburn.

Florida Gators:

Addition: Dallas Wilson - Wide Receiver - Oregon

Technically, landing Dallas Wilson doesn't count as a transfer as it's a short-term signee but, he's far and away Florida's biggest addition this offseason. Dallas Wilson was a five-star recruit out of Florida but, despite the Gators pushes he chose to stay in Oregon's class. After signing with Oregon, Wilson quickly opted out of his financial agreement and signed with Florida giving the Gators an exciting young wide receiver to pair with the most exciting young quarterback in DJ Lagway.

Loss: Kelby Collins - Defensive Line - Alabama

Any time you lose a starting piece on the defensive line to the transfer portal its less than ideal, especially when they stay in the SEC. The Gators lose a versatile piece on the defensive front as Collins transfers to Alabama as he had two years of eligibility remaining.
