Brian Kelly asked the LSU fans to judge him by Year Three and now they're judging him

This offseason, LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly talked glowingly about the results he's had in his third year at programs noting that he has gone a combined 33-5 in his third seasons at Notre Dame, Cincinatti, and Central Michigan. He told the fans multiple times to judge him by his results in year three and that's starting to seem like a massive mistake.

The Tigers are now 6-4 and 3-3 in the SEC in Kelly's third year at LSU after losing to a Florida team that the entire fanbase wanted the coach fired. Kelly has lost to two teams fighting to even finish .500 in USC and Florida, got blown out in the second half against Texas A&M, and got dominated by Alabama.

The LSU Football team hasn't made the College Football Playoff yet under Brian Kelly despite the fact that he said he made the jump from Notre Dame so he can win National Championships.

In Kelly's three year's at LSU he has yet to fix the defense as he's on his second defensive coordinator and the Tigers only have defensive success against teams that are far inferior. There have been a ton of changes between players and coaches with this defense and yet, it hasn't impressed this season.

On offense, Brian Kelly's team looked sound until they ran up against Texas A&M. Ever since LSU started playing some of the better teams in the SEC the Tigers offense has turned into a pumpkin. Garrett Nussmeier has turned the ball over often with multiple fumbles and interceptions since the second half of the A&M game. The Tigers haven't been able to run the football effectively aside from when Jayden Daniels would take off an issue that hasn't been solved.

Brian Kelly won't be fired but, he needs to feel the heat

The LSU Football Program won't fired Brian Kelly as he still has seven years left on his deal with an insane buy out which makes him safe for the time being. This offseason, Kelly is going to have to seriously realign his program to shoot for a Playoff birth in 2025. Kelly didn't want to "Buy Players" in the transfer portal this offseason, in the offseason coming up, Kelly is going to have no choice but, to go get some difference makers.
