LSU starting center Braelin Moore went down with a lower body injury on the first play from scrimmage against Louisiana Tech. Earlier this week, Brian Kelly said Moore suffered a sprained left ankle and was listed as day-to-day to go along with a status of questionable for Saturday's SEC opener against Florida. Kelly also stated that Moore's status could potentially be updated to probable depending on how he progresses throughout the week.

After a couple days, it appears that Moore is trending in the right direction. On Wednesday, Kelly said that Moore practiced on Tuesday, and is slated to practice again on Wednesday. He also added that his status is now listed as probable for Saturday.

Braelin Moore injury update: Positive news for Tiger fans

Moore's upgrade to probable is an encouraging sign for Tiger fans, as the LSU offensive line struggled after he went down against Louisiana Tech. The Tiger running game struggled to get going, and the offense as a whole looked out of whack. Getting Moore back in the mix could do wonders for LSU's offensive rhythm.

DJ Chester, redshirt sophomore, replaced Moore at center for the rest of the game against Louisiana Tech. Chester has experience, as he started all 13 games at center for LSU last season, earning Freshman All-SEC honors. He figures to get the starting nod if Moore is unable to go.

Hopefully, Moore continues to progress in the right direction and will be able to suit up against the Gators. Florida has generated just two sacks so far this season, but after seeing LSU's vulnerabilities over the first two weeks, don't be surprised if the Gators put together an aggressive defensive effort in order to give Nussmeier problems. Having Moore back for this SEC matchup would bode very well for LSU.
