LSU starting center Braelin Moore suffered a sprained left ankle on the first play from scrimmage against Louisiana Tech in Week 2. He got rolled up on and had to leave the game and did not return. The offensive line struggled against Louisiana Tech following Moore's injury, allowing three sacks as the offense couldn't find a groove.
Moore's status has been closely monitored throughout the week, as getting him back on the field would bode well for LSU in the SEC opener against Florida this Saturday night. With kick-off between the Tigers and Gators less than 48 hours away, Brian Kelly has shared good news regarding Moore's availability.
Braelin Moore good to go against Florida
Moore was listed as questionable on the official injury report on Wednesday, but Kelly now says the redshirt junior is good to go. Moore practiced on Tuesday and Wednesday, and took all the first-team reps in Thursday's practice.

It remains to be seen if Moore will be limited in any capacity, but hearing Kelly's vote of confidence is definitely a good sign. Kelly added that Moore's status will officially be moved to probable.
Moore played a big role in LSU's season opening win at No. 4 Clemson, and has proved to be arguably LSU's most valuable offensive lineman early on this season. The LSU offensive line as a whole will need to be ready from the jump, as Florida's pass rush is getting a boost with the season debut of Caleb Banks. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound defensive lineman racked up a season-high nine QB pressures with one sack against the Tigers last season. In total, the Gators sacked Garrett Nussmeier seven times in their 26-17 win over the Tigers in Gainesville on Nov. 16.
Moore transferred to LSU after being a two-year starter on the offensive line at Virginia Tech in 2023 and 2024. DJ Chester filled in at center after Moore's injury, and he figures to see action if Moore is held off the field at any time on Saturday.
