While the win over Ole Miss was massive for the LSU Football team it is time to shift focus towards Arkansas who is coming off of a bye week after beating Tennessee. We can't however move on quite yet as there is a bit of a beef brewing between Brian Kelly and Lane Kiffin.

After suffering the loss to LSU, Lane Kiffin used the press conference to state that he believed his team should have won the game.

"No disrespect, we commanded the game for the majority of it. We should have won that game."

Lane Kiffin

Now Kiffin can make this point as his team didn't execute dropping a touchdown and missed a kick that could've put LSU on the ropes early. At the end of the day though, LSU executed when Ole Miss didn't and for an offensive "guru" in Lane Kiffin the Rebels should score more than 26 points in every game.

Brian Kelly took issue with Lane Kiffin's comment and gave the credit back to his team and their execution specifically in the second half on his weekly radio appearance.

"If you dont score a touchdown in the third quarter, the fourth quarter or in overtime, I dont think you deserve to win the football game."

Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly is right, Lane Kiffin had every opportunity to put this game away but, Blake Baker outcoached him the entire second half as the Rebels' offense consistently couldn't move the football. When Ole Miss had a chance to put a drive together to win the game they couldn't, they couldn't stop LSU when the Tigers scored to send this game to overtime. Ole Miss couldn't move the ball again in overtime settling for a field goal before Garrett Nussmeier found Kyren Lacy for the win.

While Kiffin can say he thinks his team should've won all he wants, when it came down to it his team folded while Brian Kelly's went out and won the game.
