This weekend, the Washington Commanders reached true Cinderella story status knocking off the top seeded Detroit Lions when the vast majority of people didn't give the Commanders a chance. As the Washington Commanders are now in the NFC Championship Game, a vast majority of football fans find themselves rooting for Washington to go all the way with their favorite team out of the Playoffs.
Part of the reason fans are falling in love with the Commanders is the incredible story that is Jayden Daniels. The Rookie Quarterback has helped taking the team from winning four games last season to the NFC Title game in year one.
Among the people hopping onto the Commanders Bandwagon is Houston Texans Quarterback CJ Stroud who shared in his press conference on Monday that he's rooting for Washington but, mostly Jayden Daniels.
"In my opinion he's had the best rookie year of all-time. I don't root for many other teams, but I'm rooting for my boy. I'm rooting for the Commanders."CJ Stroud

Daniels and Stroud never faced off in College and haven't faced off in the NFL yet, but, the young stars grew up near each other in California and are longtime friends. After Stroud's incredible Rookie season in 2023, Daniels has taken the rookie magic to a whole new level with this deep playoff run.
The Commanders have one more game to win to advance to the Super Bowl and it comes against a familiar foe in the Division Rival Philadelphia Eagles. The teams faced off twice in the Regular Season with the Eagles winning the first matchup by 8 points and the Commanders winning the second game with a massive fourth quarter comeback. The Commanders are red hot at the right time as they've won their last 7 games and they'll have a great shot to make it 8.
