Derek Stingley Jr's incredible performance should be enough to be an All-Pro

This season while the LSU Wide Receivers have been the headliner, the season Derek Stingley Jr is putting up is incredible. After an impressive season in 2023, Stingley ha elevated his game to the point where he should be on the First Team All Pro.

Entering Today's game, Stingley had a catches allowed rate of 44.6% which is the third lowest in the NFL behind Rookie's Nate Wiggins and Kamarri Lassiter who aren't matching up against the opponent's best receiver every week like Stingley is.

This weekend, Derek Stingley Jr was matched up against one of the leagues best in Tyreek Hill and he had himself a game. Stingley finished the game with 5 tackles, 2 pass defenses, and 2 interceptions.

On his first interception, Stingley practically ran Tyreek Hill's route for him taking points off the board as the Dolphins were in the redzone.

As the Dolphins were trying to mount a drive to win the game, Derek Stingley came up big again, ripping the ball out of Tyreek Hill's hands to seal the game for the Texans.

According to PFF, Stingley's performance was incredible posting a 86.7 coverage grade, a 79.5 tackling grade, and a overall grade of 87.1. Stingley was targeted 6 times when matched up on Hill, he allowed just one catch for 15 yards.

On the season, Stingley has 46 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 17 pass defenses which ranks 2nd in the NFL.

Every week Derek Stingley comes in and shuts down the opposing teams top receiver as he continues to look like the best cornerback in the league. After his rookie season, a ton of people wrote Stingley off and declared Sauce Gardner the best cornerback in the class, now Stingley looks like the best cornerback in the league and should be named to his first All Pro team.
