This weekend, LSU and OIe Miss will clash on Saturday Night under the lights of Tiger Stadium. While their may be some more high profile games, no game may have more of an impact on the College Football Playoff race than the Magnolia Bowl.

To get an idea of how this game may turn out, we simulated a game of EA College Football 25 to see what may happen.

The offenses started slow as LSU was the only team to score in the first quarter on a chip shot field goal. In the second quarter things picked up as Jaxson Dart scored on a four yard touchdown scramble. The Tigers would take the lead right back before halftime on a 29 yard touchdown from Garrett Nussmeier to Aaron Anderson.

In the third quarter, LSU extended their lead to 13 to 7 on another chip shot field goal taking a six point lead into the 4th quarter.

Ole Miss would make things interesting late taking a one point lead on another short yardage scramble by Jaxson Dart. LSU would come out on top however as Garrett Nussmeier found Kyren Lacy for a 59 yard touchdown with under a minute to go while Caden Durham would score on the two point conversion to give LSU a 21-14 victory.

Real life won't mirror the simulation

In the actual Magnolia Bowl, if LSU held Jaxson Dart to just 6 of 14 passing for 79 yards, it would be a miracle. The simulation predicted this game as a defensive slugfest and an offensive struggle fest but, the game will likely look the complete opposite. The biggest way the offenses may struggle in real life is if LSU and Ole Miss are both without their wide receivers that are questionable to play as the defenses would have a much easier time against inexperienced players.
