The LSU Tigers are desperate to find any sort of positivity right now. To say it's been a rocky season in Baton Rouge would be a massive understatement. Fireworks have been a common theme for LSU this season, especially off the field. With all sorts of moving parts and power dynamics at play in the search for Brian Kelly's replacement, Tiger fans are just looking for a win.

4-star LSU commit is now on flip watch with an Ohio State visit on the way

In the moments leading up to kick-off between LSU and Arkansas, it became clear that Tiger fans are fed up with what they've seen on the field so far this season. With many seats still unfilled, the early game attendance at Tiger Stadium on Saturday resembled that of the Covid days.

Tiger fans are not having a good time in 2025. The Tigers have lost three games in a row and four of their last five. The last time LSU took the field in Tiger Stadium, they were getting destroyed by Texas A&M to the tune of a 49-25 loss. It was an embarrassing showing, as fans were heading for the exits halfway through the 3rd quarter. Down the stretch, Aggie fans outnumbered Tiger fans, and Brian Kelly was fired the next day.

Saturday's early game attendance isn't necessarily shocking, as both LSU and Arkansas have seen their respective seasons go off the rails. LSU is 5-4 overall and 2-4 in SEC play, and has managed to score a measly 19.6 points per game against FBS opponents. On the other side, Arkansas is 2-7 and riding a 7-game losing streak. Both teams are being led by interim head coaches, which adds to the lack of interest. The argument can be made that both fan bases are more intrigued with the coaching searches at their respective schools than the action on the field at this point in time.

The 11:45 a.m. local time kick-off undoubtedly plays a role in the low attendance early on, but Tiger fans have shown they are fed up with the product on the field right now.
