The past week has been fully focused on the 2026 recruiting class as the transfer portal activity has slowed down significantly. The Tigers currently hold the Nation's 4th ranked recruiting class and the 2nd ranked class in the SEC with 6 commitments. Over the last week, LSU's Coaching staff has moved full steam ahead offering several top recruits as they look to build up this class.
The latest great news for the LSU Football team comes as one of the top offensive tackles in the 2026 recruiting class has planned a visit to LSU.
Sam Greer is ranked as the 167th ranked player in the class, the 14th ranked offensive tackle, and the 8th ranked player out of Ohio according to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings.
The biggest concern for LSU would be how likely are the Tigers to actually win out in this recruitment? Given Greer's proximity to Ohio State, they'll be a tough team to beat out for an In-State recruit especially with how hard they recruit and the success they've had developing offensive tackles.
On LSU's side, the Tigers have the same track record developing offensive linemen as of late especially as Will Campbell may be the first offensive tackle off the board and Emery Jones will be taken highly in this years NFL Draft. Brad Davis has proven himself as an elite recruiter which gives LSU a great chance with any offensive lineman they host.
As LSU starts to host recruits on visits, its interesting to see which pieces LSU is able to get on campus and how often they get them to return as its a great indicator as to who may end up in this recruiting class.
