This summer is setting up for the LSU Football team to make a massive splash on the recruiting trail as official visits start to take place. The Tigers and the USC Trojans have traded the Nation's top ranked class back and forth but, with just 9 recruits committed in this class, LSU has a chance to cement its class ranking as it further adds pieces.
As the summer arrives, the Nation's top recruits are starting to narrow down their lists naming a few schools finalists while also scheduling their official visits. The LSU Football team continues to build momentum finding itself in the finalists groups for some of its top targets who they'll hope to make a big impression on this summer.
LSU cracks the Top 7 for elite athlete Jacob Eberhart
The latest recruit to cut down their list of schools while keeping the LSU Football team in contention is Jacob Eberhart who is down to 7 programs.

According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Jacob Eberhart is the 362nd ranked player in the class, the 17th ranked athlete in the class, and the 5th ranked player out of Missouri as a 4-star recruit. Eberhart is listed as an athlete as some of the top programs in the Country are recruiting him on offense while other are recruiting him on defense.
The Tigers are recruiting Jacob Eberhart on defense as Blake Baker recently took a visit to Missouri to visit Eberahrt. Baker already has ties in Missouri from his time as Missouri's Defensive Coordinator which could be a factor for the Tigers if the staff makes its push. The next step for LSU now is getting Eberhart on campus for an official visit as it would only help in making the Tigers a serious contender in this recruitment.
