Who's next? That's the question being asked around Baton Rouge after the LSU Football program's March surge on the recruiting trail. In March, LSU skyrocketed from to the Nation's top recruiting class, nabbing commitments from the Nation's top wide receiver Tristen Keys, the top WR in Louisiana Jabari Mack, and versatile four-star safety Dylan Purter.

As LSU looks to build out its recruiting class, the Tigers are one of the teams with the strongest chance to end the recruiting cycle with the Nation's top overall class. This weekend, the LSU Tigers made another step toward building out its class as they battle for a top defensive line recruit.

Four-Star Defensive Tackle Keshawn Stancil names LSU in Top 7

On Saturday, elite defensive tackle recruit Keshawn Stancil named LSU one of his final 7 schools along with Tennessee, Clemson, NC State, Penn State, Georgia, and Miami.

Keshawn Stancil is ranked as a top-100 recruit in the 2026 recruiting class with On3 ranking Stancil as the 87th ranked player in the class and the 10th ranked defensive lineman in the class.

The good news for LSU is that the Tigers hosted Stancil on an unofficial visit this March during the time when LSU was clicking on all cylinders. The Tigers however will have a new coach recruiting Stancil as Kyle Williams had to replace Bo Davis as the Tigers defensive line coach left LSU for the NFL.

As LSU looks to build out this recruiting class, the Tigers could easily end the cycle with one of the most impressive defensive line classes. LSU already holds a commitment from the Naton's top defensive tackle Richard Anderson who's flown up the rankings after a dominant season. Along with Stancil, LSU remains in the mix for several other top defensive tackle recruits like Lamar Brown, Darryus McKinley, and several others which makes for an exciting recruiting cycle.
