The Winter is coming to and end and with the start of the Spring begins Spring practices for the LSU Football team. Along with Spring Practices kicking off, recruits will be allowed back on campus as the recruiting dead period expires in the first week of March. This Spring will be a hectic stretch on the recruiting trail as schools across the Country look to get their top recruiting targets on campus before their official visits this Summer.
LSU is one of the schools looking to have one of the busiest springs especially in the month of March as several top recruits have planned visits to Baton Rouge. LSU currently holds the Nation's 3rd ranked recruiting class trailing only Oregon and USC giving LSU the top class in the SEC.
The Tigers add another talented edge rusher and top target to the list of recruits visiting campus this Spring.

The Tigers will get the first of four unofficial visits along with In-State Miami, Texas A&M, and Ohio State. Asharri Charles is a four star recruit ranked by On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings as the 186th ranked recruit in the Country, the 23rd ranked edge rusher, and the 28th ranked player out of Florida. In-State Miami is the overwhelming favorite according to On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 64.7% chance of winning out while LSU ranks 4th at 3.7%.
The Tigers will need to bring in a massive class at edge rusher otherwise the Tigers will need to rely on the transfer portal once again. LSU only signed one edge rush recruit last cycle nabbing Damien Shanklin and with incoming transfers Patrick Payton, Jimari Butler, and Jack Pyburn all being Seniors LSU will need to reload once again.
It'll be interesting to see if LSU is able to impress enough this Spring to get an official visit in the Summer as it'll give LSU a true chance at nabbing Charles.
