The Recruiting Dead Period is no longer in place as top recruits around the Country will start making trips to schools around the Country. The LSU Football program is set to host several of the Nation's top recruits over the next few weeks as the Tigers look to continue building momentum on the recruiting trail. LSU currently holds the Nation's 3rd ranked recruiting class and the top class in the SEC but, with just six recruits on board the Tigers will be looking to build this class.
One of the latest recruits to announce his plans to visit Baton Rouge this spring is elite edge rush recruit Zavion Griffin-Haynes who will visit LSU on March 15th.

His visit schedule shows that Griffin-Haynes is one of the most sought after recruits in the Country as ten of the best power five schools will host him on visits this Spring. According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Griffin-Haynes is the 227th ranked player in the class, the 27th ranked edge rusher, and the 14th ranked player out of North Carolina.
North Carolina may be the toughest team to beat out as Griffin-Haynes was committed to the Tar Heels until late November before he reopened his commitment. Bill Belichick has since visited with the four star pass rusher and could be building momentum toward getting him back on board.
The Tigers will be heavily involved in recruiting edge rushers this recruiting cycle given the outlook of the position on the roster. The Tigers will lose Seniors Jack Pyburn, Patrick Payton, and Jimari Butler this offseason after losing Bradyn Swinson, Sai'Vion Jones, and Da'Shawn Womack. LSU only signed one edge rusher in the 2025 recruiting class meaning Kevin Peoples will need to reload the room with younger pieces to develop for the future.
