The LSU Football program has been in full recruiting mode as the recruiting dead period is now in effect as of February 3rd running through March 2nd. This weekend, the Tigers hosted their "Boys from the Boot" Junior Day Event where the Tigers hosted several top In-State Recruiting Targets.
One In-State recruit that was not in attendance was Four-Star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon who instead opted to attend Mississippi State's Junior Day.

While Berymon spending his weekend elsewhere wasn't good news for LSU, the Tigers got good news from Dylan Berymon the following day as he trimmed his list of schools he's considering down to 10 schools with LSU making the cut.

According to On3's Industry recruiting rankings, Dylan Berymon is the 233rd ranked player in the Country, the 23rd ranked defensive tackle, and the 7th ranked player in Louisiana.
The LSU Football team will have plenty of competition in the race to land Dylan Berymon. The USC Trojans defensive line coach is Eric Henderson, a New Orleans native who just landed Jahkeem Stewart last cycle. Mississippi State will obviously be a contender in the race for Berymon based on the fact that they got him on campus for Junior Day. Berymon has taken visits to seven of the ten as Texas Tech, Arkansas, and Houston are yet to get a visit.
The LSU Football team is already off to a great start building up the defensive line room in this recruiting class. The Tigers have a commitment from the 34th ranked player in the class and the second ranked defensive lineman in Richard Anderson and a Top-100 recruit JaReylan McCoy. If the Tigers can land elite In-State recruits Five Star Lamar Brown and Dylan Berymon than it will be a loaded defensive line class for the Tigers.
