The LSU Football team has done a stellar job on the recruiting trail this Spring taking the Nation's 6th ranked recruiting class all the way to the Nation's top ranked recruiting class. The Tigers top ranked class is heavily based on the dominance LSU has had keeping elite recruits in Louisiana. LSU currently holds commitments from elite in-state stars Richard Anderson, Aiden Hall, Jabari Mack, and Brysten Martinez along with others building a solid foundation in this class.

The LSU Football team gets the advantage of being the only Power 4 school In-state school but, the Tigers can't always keep every elite player in Louisiana.

Elite In-State recruit Dylan Berymon keeps LSU out of his Final 6

This week, elite recruit Dylan Berymon revealed his top six schools keeping the LSU Tigers on the outside looking in. Berymon's final six consists of Texas, Houston, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Purdue, and USC.

The Tigers not being in contention isn't a massive surprise but, it is surprising the Tigers have seemed to be on the outside looking in this entire race. While LSU isn't in the top 6, the Tigers losing Bo Davis to the NFL certainly didn't help as the Tigers lost one of their lead recruiters for Dylan Berymon.

According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Dylan Berymon is the 184th ranked recruit in the class, the 19th ranked defensive tackle in the class, and the 8th ranked player in Louisiana.

While LSU didn't make the final six for Dylan Berymon, there is still plenty of time for LSU to make a serious push for Dylan Berymon if the Tigers want to add him to this recruiting class. The Tigers already have the Nation's top ranked defensive tackle on board in this class with Richard Anderson in this class while Lamar Brown is one of the top recruits in the class and could bolster this defensive class as well. Now that Kyle Williams is coaching the defensive line, he may be able to get Berymon on campus for a visit that could change the tide in this recruitment.
