As the February 3rd Recruiting Dead Period is rapidly approaching and will last through March 2nd, College Football coaches around the Country are ramping up their recruiting efforts. The LSU Football program has spent the past few weeks offering some of the top recruits in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting class. This weekend, the LSU Football team will host its Junior Day which is one of the biggest recruiting events of the year.

Among the recruits that LSU's Coaching Staff has hit the road to visit is elite interior offensive line recruit Darius Gray. On Monday Night, LSU's Offensive Line Coach Brad Davis went to Virginia to watch Darius Gray in his High School Basketball Game.

In attendance along with Brad Davis were James Franklin, Josh Heupel, and Dabo Swinney. All four coaches are in the running for Darius Gray and will get him on campus for an official visit as he's locked in 5 official visits.

According to On3, Darius Gray is the 25th best player in the 2026 recruiting class, the 4th ranked interior offensive lineman, and the 2nd ranked player out of Virginia.

The LSU Football team will be heavily recruiting the offensive line again after losing four starters to the NFL Draft. This offseason, LSU brought in veteran transfers Braelin Moore and Josh Thompson to fill two of the holes on the interior but, both will likely be one and done for the LSU Football team.

This past cycle, LSU signed a loaded class of offensive linemen with Solomon Thomas, Carius Curne, Tyler Miller, and Brett Bordelon. The Tigers look to build the future of the offensive line currently holding a commitment from In-State Interior Offensive Lineman Jalan Chapman while they're pushing hard for several other top recruits on the offensive line.
