ESPN’s College GameDay Announces LSU's Paul Skenes and Livvy Dunne as Guest Pickers
All week we've been waiting on an announcement from ESPN on who the Guest Picker would be for College Gameday on Saturday. The moment it was announced that the show would return to LSU fans started guessing who would be the picker as Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Shaquille O'Neal, and Lil Wayne were the most popular answers.
Instead it will be LSU power couple Paul Skenes and Livvy Dunne serving as the Guest Pickers this weekend.
The decision to go with multiple guest pickers is rare from Gameday but, it has happened a few times before.
College Gameday gets Paul Skenes fresh off of his impressive rookie season which may result in him getting Cy Young votes and the Rookie of the Year Award later this month. Skenes spent one season at LSU dominating everyone with 209 strikeouts and a 1.69 ERA winning the Dick Howser Trophy given to the College Baseball Player of the Year.
Livvy Dunne is back at LSU for her fifth and final season with the LSU Gymnastics team. The Tigers brought home the NCAA Gymnastics National Championship last season. Dunne has become one of the most influential athletes in the NIL space with a $4 Million dollar NIL valuation trailing only Shedeur Sanders. Dunne was one of the stars of Amazon's the Money Game a documentary featuring the emergence of NIL at LSU.
Given both are proud LSU athletes we should see two picks for LSU while Nick Saban's pick between his two former schools will have everyone on the edge of their seats.
