ESPN's College Gameday will return to Baton Rouge for LSU Vs Alabama
Earlier this week, LSU was given the night game for its clash against the Alabama Crimson Tide. This is because of the nature of this game as the winner is right back into contention for the College Football Playoff while the loser is likely eliminated from the race. The atmosphere for the game just got even crazier as College Gameday will return to Baton Rouge.
This will be the fourteenth time that the featured game on College Gameday is LSU vs Alabama which ties Ohio State vs Penn State for the most common matchup. This is also the first time that College Gameday will return to Baton Rouge since October 12th, 2019 during LSU's National Championship season.
This is the second time that LSU is the featured matchup on Gameday as they won earlier this year in South Carolina with College Gameday in attendance.
The only person who will likely be upset about this matchup is Ole Miss' Lane Kiffin who complained earlier this week about LSU getting the night game next weekend. What Kiffin doesn't realize is that there isn't favoritism behind this decision as the reasoning is simple. LSU beat Ole Miss and Alabama beat Georgia otherwise they'd likely get the spotlight.
