After LSU lost to Florida and Tulane beat Navy, the Tulane Football twitter account took a shot at LSU declaring that Louisiana was their State. It's easy to kick someone while they're down but, when you need to use someone's loss to claim you're the best team it shows that you're the little brother In-State. There's a reason why you never see LSU punching down at Tulane, ULM, or any of the other schools in the State because its obvious.

At the time Tulane sent its tweet out, the Green Wave was 9-2 with a great chance to win the American and in-turn to make the College Football Playoff. What Tulane should've done is waited until the end of the season as everything has changed since the point when Tulane came at LSU.

The Green Wave dropped their Regular Season finale to Memphis in a game where they put themselves in a big hole early on. They still had a chance at making the College Football Playoff on Championship Saturday the Green Wave got demolished by Army.

After making fun of LSU for suffering their fourth loss, Tulane now has their fourth loss of the season. It's going to be a tough offseason for the Green Wave, after losing Willie Fritz to Houston last season, one of the hottest names on the coaching market will be Jon Sumrall putting Tulane at risk of losing their head coach in back to back seasons.

On the bright side, maybe the newly ignited rivalry on Social Media will lead to these two teams meeting up again yearly on the field this way we stop seeing LSU play Oklahoma while everyone faces their In-State Rival.
