The 2025 NFL Draft is hours away from kicking off as the first round will officially open on Thursday Night from Green Bay, where the dreams of 32 top draft prospects will come true. The 2024 NFL Draft was a massive showing by the LSU Football program as Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers were Top 10 selections, while Brian Thomas Jr joined the duo in the first round. This year's draft isn't as massive for LSU as the lone LSU Tiger heavily expected to be a first round pick is offensive tackle Will Campbell.

Leading into the draft, Will Campbell has been one of the most highly debated prospects of any player in this class. While Will Campbell's 3 years of incredible film show that he's an elite offensive tackle and most likely the best in his class, Campbell may have fallen victim to draft fatigue. NFL scouts have argued that Campbell should move to guard as his arms are one inch shorter than the mark NFL scouts look for in starting offensive linemen.

Daniel Jeremiah predicts Will Campbell to the New England Patriots

Despite all of the nitpicking, NFL Mock Drafts leading into the 2025 NFL Draft all indicate that Will Campbell will hear his name called early on as Daniel Jeremiah predicts Campbell will be selected 4th overall by the New England Patriots.

The news would be massive for LSU and Will Campbell as the offensive tackle would become LSU's first offensive lineman to be selected in the first round. Will Campbell becoming a Top-5 pick would become another key piece of LSU's recruiting pitch as the Tigers look to replace Campbell long-term.

For Will Campbell, being selected 4th overall doesn't just guarantee him a massive payday but, he gets the honor of being the top offensive lineman in his draft class. Landing in New England pairs Campbell with a coach in Mike Vrabel who's known for building through the trenches which is best for his development.

The Patriots are looking to get back to their winning ways under Mike Vrabel, and Will Campbell could be the cornerstone of a new era. The team already nailed its pick, landing a Quarterback which makes picking Campbell the right move as he could protect Drake Maye's blindside for years to come.

We'll all have to wait until the New England Patriots officially make their selection but, after an incredible career at LSU Campbell is deserving of a Top-5 selection.
