On Saturday Afternoon, we'll see a matchup between two team's still jockeying for positioning for a solid bowl game. This series has been dominated by LSU as the Tigers have won the last nine games holding a 24-7-1 record in the series. The Tigers enter the game on a three game losing streak needing to break that streak while Vanderbilt is coming off of a loss to South Carolina.

This game has the potential to be a a step in the right direction for LSU or another massive step in the wrong direction As of Saturday Morning, here are the current odds for the between LSU and Vanderbilt:

Line: LSU - 7.5

Total: 53.5 Points

The oddsmakers are giving LSU over a touchdown edge despite their struggles as of late. The total indicates they expect these teams to both score in the high 20's which feels right as LSU's offense is banged up and has struggled as of lately while Vanderbilt has also struggled.

How to watch:

The LSU Football team will return to playing night games when it hosts Vandy as the game kicks off at 6:45 PM Central Time or 7:45 PM Eastern time for the fans on the East Coast. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network. If you'd like to listen to the game, it'll be available on LSU Sports Radio Network (98.1 FM in Baton Rouge). The announcers for the television broadcast will be Jordan Rodgers and Tom Hart.

Death Valley Voice's Predictions:

Nick Rome: LSU 27-13

Savannah Young: LSU 22-18

Why LSU wins this game

Brian Kelly may need a win this weekend more than any other game in his LSU tenure thus far. Kelly was more involved in the offense last weekend and the results showed as LSU controlled the ball for three quarters but, they couldn't punch the ball in for scores. This weekend as Kelly continues to get involved we should see some improvements in the redzone. The Commodores have struggled as of late on offense but, LSU will need to slow Diego Pavia's ability to run.
