March Madness is right around the corner as the NCAA Tournament is set to kick off next week for both the Men and Women's Tournaments. Sunday the brackets are finally set in place as the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee will unveil both the Men's and Women's NCAA Tournament Brackets.
On the Women's side, there isn't the massive anticipation on Sunday as Conference Tournaments wrapped up last week, so there will be no drama of stolen bids this weekend. The only question remains where will each team be seeded as the committee has already set the brackets.
The LSU Lady Tigers didn't help themselves over the final week of the regular season and in the SEC Tournament. In the final rankings reveal LSU was a two seed but, the Tigers resume has taken a hit since that point. The Lady Tigers lost an overtime thriller in Tuscaloosa, lost to Ole Miss to end the regular season, beat Florida in the SEC Tournament, and lost to Texas in a close contest.
Given that LSU has lost three of their last four games since the rankings reveal, LSU will likely fall in line as a three seed. This would mean that the Tigers still get to host the third round and as a whole doesn't truly hurt LSU too much as they wouldn't face the top seed in the Region until the Elite Eight.
While LSU is most likely going to fall in the rankings as a three seed, there is an outside chance that LSU could remain a two seed. The second seed would give LSU some easier matchups but, at the end of the day, LSU shouldn't see a team on their level until the Sweet 16.
