This weekend, LSU is heading to College Station for what Texas A&M is hoping will be a rock fight. The LSU offense can determine what the style of this game will be especially if the Tigers are able to take an early lead. To do so, LSU will need to create explosive plays which Texas A&M has limited all season long. If LSU is going to have success on offense, these five players need to put up some of their best performances of the year.

Kyren lacy - Wide Receiver

This season, while he's been the Tigers best wide receiver, Kyren Lacy has taken his game up a notch in the biggest games. Against USC, Lacy hauled in seven catches for 94 yards and a touchdown and LSU likely wins the game if the Tigers target him more often in the second half. Against Ole Miss, Lacy caught five passes for 111 yards and the game winning touchdown averaging 22 yards per catch.

This weekend, the offense will need yet another massive game out of their star wide receiver. The Aggies love to play man to man defense meaning Kyren Lacy needs to win his matchups to make life easier for Garrett Nussmeier. If Lacy can be that go to guy for Nussmeier on Saturday Night going for over 100 yards, the LSU Tigers likely win this game with ease.

Caden Durham - Running Back

Early on in the season, Caden Durham got to fly under the radar as team's didn't fully know what the freshman's role would be. Now as Caden Durham is the LSU Football team's best running back, team's are gameplanning to shut him down. It didn't work last weekend as Durham ran for 101 yards and three touchdowns but, this weekend Texas A&M will be a much tougher opponent.

Running Back have been stifled by the A&M defense as Notre Dame had the most success rushing for 5.8 yards per carry while Missouri had 2.3 YPC, Arkansas had 3.3 YPC, Florida had 2.1 YPC, and Mississippi State had 3.3 YPC.

When Caden Durham is making game changing plays it's because he is breaking tackles which is what he'll need to do on Saturday Night. The Tigers will need to get a few big plays out of the run game and it'll need a few big plays from Durham on screen passes. If Durham is able to create explosive plays like he has all season the A&M defense will be in serious trouble.

Will Campbell and Emery Jones - Offensive Tackles

Texas A&M has a star edge rusher in Nic Scourton but, he'll have to go up against two of the best offensive tackles in College Football. Whichever tackle draws the matchup with Scourton has to win their matchup to give Garrett Nussmeier time to beat Texas A&M's man coverage. The other area where these two need to step up is bu not taking penalties. We've seen far too many pre-snap penalties especially out of players with as much experience as Will Campbell and Emery Jones Jr.

Garrett Nussmeier - Quarterback

The first few weeks of the season, Garrett Nussmeier was one of the most impressive quarterbacks in College Football. The last two games haven't been as great aside from Garrett Nussmeier's last two drives against Ole Miss. Over the last two games, Garrett Nussmeier has completed just 45 of 85 attempts for 570 yards with 3 touchdowns and two interceptions.

The area we'd love to see Nussmeier turn his game around is with his deep ball as he has just barely missed an open receiver on a deep ball a few times the last two weeks. Against a team that's hoping to run the ball often, putting Texas A&M in a situation where they need to score fast is the way that LSU wins this game.

A massive week from Nussmeier would put his name into the Heisman race that's lacking contenders while it also gives LSU a great chance at winning. Given that Nussmeier has started to use his legs a bit, don't be surprised if we see Nussmeier rip off a run or two for a first down.

DJ Chester - Center

Pre-Snap Penalties have been a massive issue for the LSU Football team which is a massive concern. The Tigers now head into a hostile environment playing at Kyle Field which will certainly make hearing the pre-snap callouts and the snap count much harder. It all starts up front for LSU this week and DJ Chester can't have snap infractions if LSU is going to win this game.

Last Week, LSU took six pre-snap penalties a number that needs to fall this weekend. The presnap penalties have taken points off the board for LSU and in a tight game it needs to stop before it costs LSU a game. Add in the fact that the interior offensive line will go against a loaded defensive line and DJ Chester is one of the X-Factors for this game.
