Five Star In-State Running Back Harlem Berry signs with the LSU Football program
It's officially the first day of College Football's Early Signing Period meaning we see a programs commitments finally become members of their new schools. LSU enters the day with 24 commitments and getting their name on the dotted line is the most important aspect.
The day is still young but, LSU already has one of its biggest wins as five-star in-state running back Harlem Berry has officially signed with LSU.
According to On3, Berry is the Nation's 18th ranked recruit, the top running back in the class, and the top player out of Louisiana. This entire cycle Berry has remained the Nation's top running back speaking to the level of talent he is.
All Harlem Berry has done since committing to LSU is remain committed as he never popped up on another schools campus and was always in Baton Rouge helping the Tigers push for other recruits.
Landing Berry is a massive win for the program and for Frank Wilson who kept the top player in the state home. In this class LSU also signed four-star running back JT Lindsey and the two signees will join Caden Durham as the future of the running back room.
Like we've seen from Caden Durham, Berry is an elusive player and a home run threat any time he gets the football as he can out run anyone.
Berry has been constantly improving his game working as a wide receiver while on the camp circuit to make him more of a receiving threat which will only help him in getting on the field early on as well as helping the team in the passing game.
There is still plenty of time left in the day and we'll see if LSU can get its other five-star commit DJ Pickett across the finish line as well as if they can flip Solomon Thomas or land Jahkeem Stewart.
