Following the loss to the Texas Longhorns, the LSU Lady Tigers returned to action needing to get the team headed back in the right direction. Before the game even started, LSU faced issues as Aneesah Morrow was ruled out for the game with an injury meaning LSU needed to lean on some of their other pieces.

While Aneesah Morrow was out, LSU's front court stepped up as Jersey Wolfenbarger and Sa'Myah Smith played well in her absence. Wolfenbarger scored 16 points making 4-5 shots and 8-12 Free Throws while grabbing 12 rebounds with 3 blocks and a pair of steals. Smith put up a massive showing as well scoring 11 points while grabbing 12 rebounds

The Tigers needed one player to lead the charge and Flau'Jae Johnson took that burden leading LSU to victory. Johnson scored 21 points making 8 of 20 attempts while recording three steals despite dealing with her own injury.

Mikaylah Williams didn't have her best game going 0-3 from three while making 6-16 attempts on the day scoring 12 points. Kailyn Gilbert was massive for the Tigers off the bench making 6-12 shots and 2-5 three point attempts scoring 15 points.

The biggest issue for LSU remains the guard play as it has been inconsistent the entire season as Kim Mulkey looks for her best guard. The Tigers guards struggled offensively and on defense the Tigers guards couldn't defend Trinity Turner who beat LSU for a game high 28 points.

Following the game, Kim Mulkey gave Tigers fans great news as she revealed that Aneesah Morrow had her foot stepped on during the Texas Game but, was left out of the lineup as a precaution. The Tigers improve to 26-2 on the year and 11-2 in SEC Play with the win before facing off against Kentucky this weekend.
