The Transfer Portal officially opened on Monday meaning recruits will be entering and exiting the transfer portal all over the Country in the days and weeks to come. LSU is expected to be very aggressive in the transfer portal this offseason as Brian Kelly told the media they're looking to bring in their biggest transfer class yet.

One of the positions that LSU has been linked to heavily is Wide Receiver as LSU will lose Kyren Lacy, CJ Daniels, Shelton Sampson Jr, and Landon Ibieta. The Tigers only signed two wide receivers out of High School so not only will LSU look for a top end starter but, they'll also pursue some pieces they feel they can develop.

One target to keep an eye on announced that he'll be entering the transfer portal and he instantly becomes a name to keep an eye on for LSU. Florida State Sophomore Destyn Hill enters the transfer portal and will be tied to LSU.

Destyn Hill is a New Orleans Native who played his High School football at Edna Karr which has become a Wide Receiver pipeline for LSU with TaRon Francis as the latest signee for LSU. In 2023, Hill caught 6 passes for 87 yards but, he missed the 2024 season with a torn ACL.

In the Transfer Portal, LSU has constantly gone after transfers from Louisiana and when you pair that with the fact that he's at a position of need he instantly becomes a target for LSU. Hill had LSU as one of his finalists in his initial recruitment where he was the 88th ranked player in the Country according to On3.

Hill most likely won't be that instant impact top end wide receiver especially coming off of surgery but, he could develop into a nice piece for the Tigers.
