Ever since Ed Orgeron reached a mutual agreement to leave LSU, the National Championship winning Head Coach has been pretty quiet. Ed Orgeron hasn't taken any coaching roles and his lone role came in a commercial for Rhoback as the "Interim CEO"

If there's one thing aside from Louisiana that Oregron is tied to it's Head Coach Pete Carroll. Ed Orgeron got to USC before Pete Carroll and when the fiery Head Coach took the USC job the only Coach he retained was Orgeron. On Friday the Las Vegas Raiders filled their Head Coaching Vacancy hiring Pete Carroll which could bring Ed Orgeron back to the sidelines.

Orgeron and Carroll have a long-standing relationship dating back to their time at USC, where they built a powerhouse program together in the early 2000s. Orgeron served as Carroll’s defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator, helping the Trojans secure some of the best recruiting classes in college football on a yearly basis.
While Orgeron might not be a candidate for a head-coaching position in the NFL or at the College level at this stage, he could excel as a defensive line coach, assistant head coach, or a consultant. His deep knowledge of defensive schemes and his ability to bond with and motivate players makes him an asset to any coaching staff.
Orgeron does have experience in the NFL as he served as the New Orleans Saints defensive line coach for the 2008 season.
It's unclear with Orgeron wants to keep coaching but, if he does getting back into the game with Pete Carroll makes a ton of sense and may be his best opportunity. In Las Vegas, Orgeron can prove that he's still a great defensive mind which could lead to him getting better roles in the NFL or in College once again.
